Job SummaryC&WL SPCMHT covers the Central and West Lancashire footprint. We are seeking applications from confident and enthusiastic professionals who hold RMN/Social Work/OT registrations, that are passionate about their role and would be keen to work in the perinatal service. The post holder will work within the MDT and will be supported to carry a caseload and work with senior clinicians, have responsibility for the delivery of high-quality care, work closely to deliver care planning and daily risk assessing.
Main Duties of the JobWe welcome applications from both male and female applicants and although advantageous, there is no requirement to have previous perinatal experience, as training will be provided. Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- Registered Mental Health Nurse or Social Worker
- Registration with appropriate professional body.
- Evidence of commitment to continuing professional development
KnowledgeEssential- An understanding of the Mental Health Act 1983 (revised 2007)
- An understanding of the Children's act 1989
- Able to demonstrate knowledge of safeguarding children and how to manage this within a specialist mental health setting.
ExperienceEssential- Completed the preceptorship process in respect of own practice.
SkillsEssential- Able to demonstrate and understand the concept of community care and the need to develop good networks.
- Can demonstrate communication skills through practice and experience
- Ability to maintain own performance and participation in group skills
