Main Duties of the JobYou will be a Nurse working within a multi-disciplinary team and carry out a diverse range of duties. As a Band 5 Nurse within the team you will be regularly supported and supervised by a nominated Band 6 Nurse Specialist and you will be encouraged to take personal responsibility for clinical supervision and your continued professional development plan.
You will undertake a period of preceptorship overseen by a named Band 6 Nurse Specialist within your team and engage on the trusts Preceptorship programme.
You will actively promote teamwork, respect, integrity, accountability, excellence and compassion within the clinical team in accordance with the Trust values and Code of Conduct. You are required to maintain links with your professional body and provide evidence for the revalidation process.
You will provide nurse leadership within the multi-disciplinary team and ensure the effective assessment, formulation, planning and monitoring of care given to service users.

Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- Registered Mental Health Nurse Qualification.(RNMH & RNLD)
- On-going registration with the NMC.
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development that supports clinical practice.
KnowledgeEssential- Can demonstrate an understanding and knowledge base of mental health conditions and their treatments.
- Can demonstrate a working knowledge of physical health conditions and the complications that this can cause to patients experiencing mental ill health.
ExperienceEssential- Post Graduate experience
- Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team structure.
- Experience of assessing, planning, implementing and reviewing care needs.
Desirable- Supervision and management of staff.
- Experience of liaison and advising professionals from other services.
