Job summary
We are looking for a Senior Clinical Fellow in Neurology who will be based at Royal Preston Hospital. This post is a fixed-term post, initially for 12 months.

You will be expected to participate in the neurology registrar on-call rota. It will enable you to gain experience in clinical neurology in a supportive environment. Significant clinical learning opportunities are available, with weekly clinical and academic meetings, case presentations and frequent clinical teaching. Although this is not a formal training post, you will be allocated an educational supervisor.

Main duties of the job
The duties of this post may be summarised as:

• To work with the neurology educationleadto deliver high quality neurology education to medical students from University of Manchester, based at Royal Preston Hospital.
• Undertake up to three outpatient clinics a week at Royal Preston Hospital and peripheral hospitals, under consultant supervision.
• Management of inpatients in the regional neurology ward based at Royal Preston Hospital.

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential

• Full GMC Registration and Licence to Practice
• MBBS or equivalent
• MRCP or postgraduate degree in neurology (DM or FCPS neurology)

Experience
Essential

• Experience of neurology at CMT level or equivalent.
• Commitment to working as part of a clinical team.
• Teaching skills for both medical and paramedical disciplines
