Job summary
We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for two Consultant Community Paediatricians with a specialist interest in Paediatric Neurodisability to join the Integrated Services for Children with Additional Needs within Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust. These newly established posts have been created in response to increasing demand for neurodevelopmental and neurodisability services across Leeds and will play a key role in shaping and delivering innovative assessment pathways for children & young people.

The successful candidates will be based within one of our Child Development Hubs and will work as part of a highly experienced multidisciplinary team providing specialist assessment, diagnosis and ongoing management for children with complex developmental, neurodevelopmental and neurodisability needs.

This is a unique opportunity to join a thriving Community Paediatric Service recognised for its strong multidisciplinary ethos, clinical excellence and commitment to innovation.

The post holders will provide specialist clinical leadership within the Neurodisability Service, contributing to the assessment, diagnosis and management of children with neurodevelopmental conditions while supporting the ongoing development of the Single Assessor Autism Assessment Pathway for children under five, Needs Led Pathway and Enhanced Autism Assessment Pathway.

Main duties of the job
There will be excellent opportunities to contribute to pathway development, service transformation and innovation across neurodevelopmental services in Leeds. The successful candidate will also provide clinical supervision, support and leadership to Advanced Clinical Practitioners working within the Needs Led Pathway, helping to further develop multidisciplinary practice and ensure high-quality patient care.

Depending on agreed job plans, opportunities may also exist to contribute to Community Paediatric Clinics, Child Protection Services, Children in Care Services and the Sudden Unexpected Death in Infancy and Childhood (SUDIC) service.
