Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time (3 days a week -25.5 hours per week) Cardiac Physiologist with experience in cardiac rhythm management to join the Clinical Physiology Department at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. Based primarily at St Jamess Hospital, the role will support the delivery of implantable cardiac device follow-up within a busy and progressive invasive cardiology service. The post will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care, including independent device clinics and remote monitoring of patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices.

Main duties of the job
Working closely with the multidisciplinary team, the post holder will contribute to the ongoing development of the device service, with a strong emphasis on digital innovation and the expansion of remote monitoring pathways. The role offers a high degree of autonomy, with opportunities to lead on service improvement and support complex patient pathways, including collaboration with the radiotherapy service. We are seeking a motivated and forward-thinking individual who is confident working independently and is passionate about advancing both patient care and digital approaches within cardiac rhythm management.

You will be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team that values expertise, autonomy and continuous development.

What you will bring to the role
Criteria:
  • BSc in Cardiac Physiology or equivalent
  • AHCS or HCPC registration
  • Highly specialist skills and knowledge within the relevant field in accordance with national guidelines.
  • Provides leadership, support and guidance to other team members.
