Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Radiographer to join our friendly and supportive Cardiac Catheter Lab team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Based within one of the largest cardiac catheter laboratory suites in the UK, this role offers the chance to work alongside highly skilled multidisciplinary teams delivering specialist cardiac care across adult, congenital and paediatric services. Whether you already have experience in cardiac angiography or are looking to develop a career in Cardiac Radiography, we can provide the training, mentorship and support needed to develop your skills to an advanced specialist level.

The successful candidate will be a flexible and patient-focused radiographer with excellent communication and teamwork skills, keen to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will contribute to the delivery of high-quality imaging and patient care across a broad range of diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures while benefiting from access to cutting-edge technology, specialist training and development opportunities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
An interest in developing specialist knowledge and skills in Cardiac Radiography.
The ability to perform and support complex diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures.
A flexible approach to working in a busy and evolving clinical environment.
The ability to prioritise workload and adapt to changing clinical demands.
A commitment to maintaining high standards of image quality, radiation safety and clinical governance.
An interest in contributing to audit, quality improvement and research activities.
A willingness to participate in extended working hours, 24/7 shift patterns and the on-call service following appropriate training.

Job responsibilities

Our Cardiac Catheter Laboratory service is one of the largest and most advanced in the UK, comprising six recently refurbished catheter laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art imaging technology and software. The department is a tertiary referral centre for adult coronary intervention and a regional centre for adult and paediatric congenital heart disease. We are also proud to house a specialist bi-plane paediatric hybrid laboratory, providing highly specialised care for children with complex congenital heart conditions across the Yorkshire and Humber region.

Joining our team means becoming part of an experienced, supportive and forward-thinking multidisciplinary workforce that includes Radiographers, Cardiologists, Nurses and Cardiac Physiologists.
