Trust Doctor in the department of Ophthalmology
We are inviting applications for the position of Trust Doctor in Glaucoma within the Department of Ophthalmology at The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The post is due to commence in Nov/Dec 2026.

Candidates must be fully registered with the General Medical Council and hold a license to practice by the intended start date.

Job Summary
Join the Ophthalmology (Glaucoma) team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust as a Trust Specialty Doctor, primarily based at Seacroft Hospital, with some sessions at St James’s University Hospital. Supporting our Consultant team in delivering a high-quality tertiary Glaucoma service, you will enjoy a varied clinical role spanning Glaucoma clinics and the Ophthalmology Acute Referral Clinic (ARC), working closely with our Glaucoma Monitoring Unit (GMU) technicians and wider multidisciplinary team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and committed ophthalmologist with a strong passion for delivering outstanding patient care and advancing their clinical practice. Whether you are a post-CCT doctor or an experienced ophthalmologist with FRCOphth (or equivalent) and at least four years of higher specialist training, you will be supported to develop increasing autonomy while contributing to our active research portfolio and innovative teaching hospital environment.
