Job summaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen to offer a 6 month Fixed Term post within the Early Intervention in Psychosis service.
The post is available for a B5/6 Mental Health Nurse or AHP who ideally has community experience & ideally some experience of working with psychosis.
The post is 37.5 hours per week. The operational hours for the team are Monday-Friday 0900 -1700hrs.
Early Intervention in Psychosis are a countywide and independent travel across the county will be required. The team cover Lincoln, Gainsborough, Louth, Skegness, Boston, Grantham, Bourne, Spalding, Stamford, Deepings and surrounding areas.
Main duties of the jobThe Early Intervention in Psychosis Team is located within the Adult Community Mental Health Division and our mission is to provide high quality, evidence-based psychological services to adults who live in Lincolnshire and are experiencing severe and enduring mental health difficulties. The post will involve liaison with other professions within the mental health service. The team comprises including Mental Health Nurses, AHPs, Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapists, Clinical Psychologists, Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioners, Psychological Intervention Facilitators, Peer Support Workers and administrators.
The post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination of care needs, assessment, planning, and implementation of evidence-based care to a defined group of service users and their carers within the service catchment area whilst under the guidance of senior staff. The post holder will provide professional advice and support to other agencies and members of the multi-disciplinary team.

QualificationsEssential- RMN 1st Level Registration (NMC) or degree or equivalent. OR Registered Occupational Therapist OR Registered Social Worker
ExperienceEssential- Relevant experience of working with adults with mental health needs
- Experience of working with people with severe and enduring mental illnesses
- Evidence of continuing professional development
Desirable- Experience of working with people experiencing a first episode of psychosis
SkillsEssential- Sound knowledge of national agenda for EIP services
- Highly developed clinical reasoning skills.
- Sound knowledge of clinical/risk assessment and understanding of Information Governances principles.
- Highly developed communication skills
- Delegation whilst maintaining overall responsibility for patients care, where appropriate.
- Highly motivated & able to engage with service users & carers to improve outcomes
- Ability to work independently and collectively.
