Main duties of the jobThe work-load throughout the department is very varied and interesting with no two days being the same. The successful candidate must be dynamic, possess excellent communication skills, and have a high sense of professionalism and a strong belief in the value of teamwork.
Aintree is the major trauma centre for the region and are at present going through radical integration and reconfiguration of acute services. Aintree will be the Hot (acute site) of the organisation.
As a Band 6 Nurse you will be offered a comprehensive development package including a period of supernumerary, training and education. You will have access to the departmental education team and have the opportunity to develop and progress your career as you work towards the RCN and Trauma Competencies. We will develop your skills to ensure that you work to the highest of standards to triage our patients safely and stream them to various agencies.

Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- First level nurse RGN
- Current NMC registration
Desirable- ALS / ATNC / TNCC
- 1 st Degree
ExperienceEssential- Demonstrable experience at band 5

- Demonstrates understanding of current issues affecting A&E service provision
- Demonstrates innovative approaches to the delivery of healthcare
- Demonstrates understanding of Clinical Governance

EssentialEssential- Triage Trained
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage and coordinate a clinical area, ensuring safe, effective, and high-quality patient care.
