Job SummaryWe have an opportunity available for a Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join the team within our Psychological Wellbeing Service based in Warrington, WA2 7JB. You'll work across the Wigan and Warrington boroughs delivering Step 2 low-intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and as a key member of the team, you will be working closely with our clinical team to maintain our high standard and help us to develop this further.
Main Duties of the JobMaking Space Talking Therapies provides evidence-based interventions within a stepped care model, for the treatment of people with mild to moderate common mental health problems. As a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner you will manage your own caseload providing evidence based treatments, this involves using Silvercloud packages and weekly telephone reviews. This role will also involve face to face assessments clinic in the community to ensure access to Talking Therapies is achieved throughout the Wigan Borough. We provide a unique offer within GP surgeries and community services and have developed strong working relationships with partners. With this in mind, we would welcome professional and enthusiastic PWPs to apply to the post.

Job Responsibilities- Manage an allocated clinical caseload in collaboration with the senior PWP.
- Conduct mental health assessments, psychological assessments and safety (risk) assessments. Formulate and implement safety management plans following Making Space Psychological Wellbeing Services Risk Assessment & Risk Management policies and procedures.
- Deliver a range of evidence based one-to-one interventions, with the knowledge that the service is predominantly commissioned for a higher proportion of cCBT delivery compared to 1:1 GSH sessions. Silvercloud is the current system for cCBT delivery, and you would be offering weekly telephone reviews to support individuals with the programme.
- Share responsibility and accountability for delivering local contractual obligations and targets both clinical and managerial.
- Attend meetings within the community as needed.
- Regularly promote the service to various external agencies, particularly GPs, and establish good working relationships to generate referrals.
Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner.
Desirable- Further post graduate training in relevant areas of professional psychology, mental health practice and/or research design and analysis.
ExperienceEssential- Experience of providing step 2 clinical interventions for common mental health problems.
- Experience of managing a caseload of clients and keeping up to date records using a database.
- Experience of working with individuals (1:1) in different settings to help them achieve their goals.
- Experience with utilising cCBT platforms as a method of support at step 2.
- Experience of working with a range of agencies and organisations to develop effective working relationships.
- Experience in following robust risk management processes.
- Experience working within a service where there are agreed targets in place, demonstrating clinical outcomes.
- Experience of working with people facing a range of barriers and social issues.
Desirable- Experience in one or more of the following fields: mental health, family support, physical health, smoking cessation, diet and exercise, employment, social inclusion, equality and diversity, or debt management.
- Experience using Silvercloud.
- Experience promoting referrals or a service in a mental health setting.
