Description

Job summary
Could you help develop the skills, confidence and capability of frontline ambulance staff while supporting the future of prehospital care on the Island?

As Clinical Education Lead within the Isle of Man Ambulance Service, you'll play a key role in delivering highquality clinical and nonclinical education across the service.

Main duties of the job
Working closely with colleagues, you'll support learning and development activity, helping ensure staff have the knowledge, skills and support they need to provide excellent patient care.

You'll deliver training in both classroom and operational settings, provide mentorship and clinical leadership, and contribute to the development of educational programmes, resources and continuing professional development activities. The role also includes supporting operational services, maintaining clinical competence and contributing to service improvement, research and innovation.

Working within a small, forwardthinking Ambulance Service, you'll have the opportunity to influence practice, support colleagues at all levels and help shape the development of education and training across the organisation.

If developing people, sharing expertise and helping to deliver exceptional patient care sounds like the challenge you're looking for, apply now!

About us
By joining Manx Care on the Isle of Man, you'll enjoy the opportunity to work in a healthcare system that is similar to, but separate from, the NHS, offering a refreshing change from many of the pressures and demands experienced elsewhere in the UK.

We are committed to supporting your professional development through a wide range of learning and continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities, including access to our well-equipped Education and Training Centre.

Many of our sites offer free on-site parking, and we provide generous relocation packages for the majority of our roles to help make your move as seamless as possible.

Beyond work, the Isle of Man offers an exceptional quality of life, with stunning landscapes, a safe and welcoming community and excellent schools. Residents also benefit from lower personal tax rates than those found in many other European jurisdictions, helping you make the most of your earnings.

Job responsibilities
A workplace that invests in you
Enjoy higher salaries compared to the UK, along with annual salary increases that extend beyond typical UK NHS pay scales.

A generous annual leave entitlement starting at 27 days and 10 Public Holidays.

Subject to meeting eligibility criteria, the IOM Public Service offers two pension arrangements: the Isle of Man Government Unified Scheme 2011 or the Isle of Man Government Defined Contribution (DC) Arrangement.

Step away from NHS pressures and demands! The Island’s healthcare system is similar but separate to the UK NHS.

You may be eligible for a Blue Light Card, unlocking a wide range of exclusive discounts on shopping, food and leisure activities at hundreds of popular high street and online retailers.

Access to the staff canteen at Noble’s Hospital where you can purchase affordable food and drinks in your breaks.

Free on-site car parking.

Our on-site education and training centre, Keyll Darree, comprises a lecture theatre, well stocked medical library, training facilities and a state-of-the-art simulation lab which is operated by trained simulation practitioners.

Ability to apply for an unpaid career break after 3 years’ service.

Access to the Isle of Man Public Service Cycle to Work scheme after your first year of employment.

Access to the Learning, Education and Development training facility, which is exclusively for Public Service employees, to keep on top of your continuous professional development.

Free access to the Isle of Man Government Staff Welfare Service which offers professional counselling, emotional support and signposting on a wide range of issues.

Accommodation may be available for the first 6 months in your role at a reduced rate for non-Island residents, subject to availability.

A relocation package of up to £7,000 based on receipts is available for this role. Housing Assistance is also available where the Department will pay the difference between your current mortgage/rent bill, and that of your new accommodation on the Isle of Man, up to a maximum of £250 per month.
