Description

Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and foresighted practitioner to join our Rheumatology Department as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS). In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality care to Rheumatology patients across both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Main duties of the job
You will be instrumental in delivering a seamless Tier 2 service, working closely with Tier 1 (Primary Care) and using the expertise of the Tier 3 (Secondary Care) when needed. This role offers the opportunity to work both collaboratively and autonomously, requiring strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.

As part of a supportive and multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with medical, nursing, and allied health professional colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for patients.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated practitioner with excellent communication skills. You will be committed to continuous professional development and dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centred care in a rewarding speciality.

About us
By joining Manx Care on the Isle of Man, you'll enjoy the opportunity to work in a healthcare system that is similar to, but separate from, the NHS, offering a refreshing change from many of the pressures and demands experienced elsewhere in the UK.

We are committed to supporting your professional development through a wide range of learning and continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities, including access to our well-equipped Education and Training Centre.

Many of our sites offer free on-site parking, and we provide generous relocation packages for the majority of our roles to help make your move as seamless as possible.

Beyond work, the Isle of Man offers an exceptional quality of life, with stunning landscapes, a safe and welcoming community and excellent schools. Residents also benefit from lower personal tax rates than those found in many other European jurisdictions, helping you make the most of your earnings.

Step away from NHS pressures and demands! The Island’s healthcare system is similar but separate to the UK NHS.

You may be eligible for a Blue Light Card, unlocking a wide range of exclusive discounts on shopping, food and leisure activities at hundreds of popular high street and online retailers.

Access to the staff canteen at Noble’s Hospital where you can purchase affordable food and drinks in your breaks.

Free on-site car parking.

Our on-site education and training centre, Keyll Darree, comprises a lecture theatre, well stocked medical library, training facilities and a state-of-the-art simulation lab which is operated by trained simulation practitioners.

Take advantage of the excellent opportunities we provide for your professional development, including the many courses we fund including those up to Masters Level.

Ability to apply for an unpaid career break after 3 years’ service.

Accommodation may be available for the first 6 months in your role at a reduced rate for non-Island residents, subject to availability.

A relocation package of up to £7,000 based on receipts is available for this role.
