Job descriptionJob responsibilitiesClinical- Undertaking a wide variety MRI, CT and Xrays,
- Preparing patients for imaging procedures, explains the procedure and ensures that the patient is comfortable and properly positioned.
- Ensuring all referrals are justified and provide advise on protocols, if required
- Ensuring consistently high-quality images are produced.
- Assessing images for quality and clinical significant and escalate urgent findings as necessary.
- Administering contrast media in line with PGD guidance, SOPs & protocols.
- Responsible for own clinical areas with regards to linen change and cleanliness.
Further Responsibilities- Maintains the highest standards of both practical work and patient care at all times, including patient privacy and dignity. Provide support and reassurance to patients and families.
- Maintains own personal continual professional development and a professional portfolio in line with HCPC & CoR recommendations and requirements.
- Carry out responsibilities in relation to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, to have knowledge of supporting policies and safety and to undertake the appropriate level of training for your role.
Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- BSC in Radiography or equivalent
- IV Cannulation skills
- HCPC Registered
- Must have 1 year UK experience
- Evidence of CPD
Desirable- Flexible approach
- Excellent and professional communication skills
- Able to work as part of a team as well as independently
- Good organisational skills
ExperienceEssential- Must have 1 year UK experience
