Job summaryWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated Clinical Facilitator to join our team. Within the role you will support the senior sisters to provide a learning environment for new staff and students.
Act as a role model to the team and encourage professional development. As well as planning and providing teaching session whilst supporting new staff with the completion of their competencies.
This is an exciting role within the team which will contribute to the development of staff members.
Main duties of the job- To provide clinical leadership to a designated nursing team and ensure the provision of high-quality nursing care to children and families.
- To act as a role model and expert clinical practitioner demonstrating leadership and professionalism at all times.
- To encourage and support the development of clinical skills by working directly alongside staff with particular emphasis on new and less experienced staff.
- To work with the Practice Educator and Education Team in leading the teaching, training and education of all staff.
- Facilitate the creating of a positive learning environment where staff development is encouraged and supported, and talent is fostered and enhanced.
- Ensure the ward provides a supportive environment for students and provides learning opportunities for them

Job responsibilitiesMain responsibilities to include but this is not an exhaustive list:
- Coordination of Team study days
- coordination of student placements, liaising with universities re placements and students
- Supporting the senior Burns team
- Advising/ selecting staff regarding on going development and courses, as identified at their appraisals
