Job summaryWe are seeking a motivated and compassionate mental health nurse to join our Mental Health & Wellness Team (West), providing high-quality, person-centred care within a community setting. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support individuals experiencing a range of mental health and wellbeing needs, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver timely, responsive, and recovery-focused interventions.
The post holder will play a key role in assessing needs, planning and delivering interventions, and supporting individuals to improve their mental health, resilience, and overall wellbeing. You will work collaboratively with service users, carers, and partner agencies to ensure a holistic approach to care, promoting recovery, independence and reducing reliance on secondary services.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, sound clinical judgement, and a commitment to delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care.
This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, flexible, and passionate about improving access to mental health support within the community, while contributing to continuous service development and innovation.
Main duties of the jobYou will be working as part of our multi-disciplinary team and will coordinate a caseload of service users that have complex and challenging needs. As a nurse you will have the opportunity to work within the wellness clinic to deliver physical and mental health interventions.
We require good IT skills and knowledge of using electronic recording systems. It is essential that you are willing to work flexibly within the demands of the service. You will work closely within a multi-disciplinary team and other agencies to deliver recovery focused health and social care interventions that includes managing risk and the Safeguarding of vulnerable adults. The successful candidate will be expected to provide managerial supervision to junior colleagues, mentor MDT students and participate in ongoing educational and research programmes.

Starting with NELFT NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes.

High Cost Area Supplement - Outer London This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,870 and a maximum payment of £6,137 - per annum, pro rata).
