Job summary
As a Phlebotomist at Newington Road Surgery, you will play a crucial role in our commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services. • Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood samples
• Label and properly store collected samples for testing
• Verify patient information and ensure correct labeling of specimens
• Interact with patients in a professional and empathetic manner, addressing any concerns or questions
• Follow established safety and infection control protocols
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely specimen collection
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the phlebotomy area

Qualifications
Essential

• Successful completion of a phlebotomy training program
• Current certification as a Phlebotomist
• Strong knowledge of venepuncture techniques and blood collection procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and empathy
• Attention to detail and accuracy in specimen collection and labelling
