Job Advert
Have you ever considered a career in Stroke or Older Adult Medicine? Would you like to be part of a supportive and dynamic team that is passionate about delivering outstanding care to patients requiring acute treatment, rehabilitation, and ongoing support to maximise their independence and quality of life?

As our service continues to evolve and expand, we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated nurses who share our commitment to person-centred care.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, a compassionate approach to care, and a genuine interest in supporting patients through their recovery journey. Previous experience in stroke care is desirable but not essential, as comprehensive in-house training and development opportunities will be provided.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated Stroke and Older Adult Medicine team at NHS Highland. We welcome applications from registered nurses with experience in a variety of settings, including community hospitals, care homes, rehabilitation services, general medicine, and stroke care, who are looking to develop their skills in an acute hospital environment.

Working as part of our nursing team will involve day and night shifts to meet the needs of the service. Applicants are encouraged to find out more about the work of the unit and of this role; informal enquiries are welcome to:
Yvonne Mackay, Senior Charge Nurse Ward 2A. Telephone 01463 704451 or email: Yvonne.mackay2@nhs.scot

Please be advised this role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker Visa or a Heath and Care Worker Visa.
NHS Highland is unable to provide candidates with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).
