The post holder will need experience in completing assessments, running groups and delivering mental health interventions in person. They will be required to support and work collaboratively with our colleagues within the CMHT's along with and the other organisations and allied teams in our care group.

Main duties of the job
As a Clinical Associate in Psychology (CAP) within the Adult Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) in King's Lynn, you will work alongside the Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Clinical Psychologists, Psychological Therapists, and the wider multidisciplinary team. The team is experienced, supportive, and committed to collaborative working, ensuring that your skills, ideas, and contributions are valued and encouraged.

Your role will include:

• Delivering psychological assessments, formulations, and evidence-based individual and group interventions for adults experiencing a range of complex mental health difficulties.
• Working closely with qualified Clinical Psychologists to support the development and delivery of psychological care pathways within the CMHT.
• Undertaking clinical work under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist, in line with the CAP scope of practice.
• Contributing to multidisciplinary assessments, care planning, risk management, and formulation discussions.
• Supporting psychologically informed approaches across the team through consultation, collaboration, and shared learning.

Qualifications
Essential

• Masters Clinical Associate in Psychology qualification
• Registered on the BPS Wider Psychological Workforce register as an Clinical Associate in Psychology (CAP)

Experience
Essential

• Relevant supervised experience of delivering psychological assessments and interventions in [setting/service user group relevant to their specific scope of practice]
• Experience of working in a setting with Service Users presenting with moderate to severe mental health difficulties
• Relevant CPD as required by the BPS.

Skills
Essential

• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to build rapport, communicate
• Skills in managing time and workload in the context of multiple competing demands.

Knowledge
Essential

• Masters level knowledge of psychological theory and research, including psychological assessment, formulation, intervention and evaluation.
