Description

Job Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Psychological Therapist to work in our Central Norfolk Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) team.

This is a 12-month fixed-term post to cover maternity leave. It is an exciting opportunity for therapists to gain experience, knowledge, and skills in working with people who have experienced a first episode psychosis.

The Central Norfolk EIP Service is a well-established specialist service within Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, providing assessment and treatment for people aged 14-65 experiencing a first episode of psychosis. The service works to the NHS England Access and Waiting Time Standard and has benefited from significant investment and development in recent years, enabling us to deliver timely, evidence-based interventions to those under our service.

Main Duties of the Job
As a therapist within EIP, you will primary provide therapy to individuals under our service, though there may also be opportunities for doing some family work. Our therapies team has a strong culture of collaboration and learning, with opportunities to develop experience in family work forming an important part of the role. We hold regular away days, offer opportunities for peer group supervision, and are committed to supporting continuing professional development.

Previous training and experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Psychosis and Bipolar (CBT-pb) and Behavioural Family Therapy (BFT) would be desirable but not essential, as relevant professional development opportunities will be available.

As this is a community-based role, travel across the locality will be required. Applicants must therefore hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel to bases and clinical appointments as required.

For any enquiries about the posts, please contact Dr Andr Bolster, Clinical Psychologist, on 07557 191355 or via email at andre.bolster@nsft.nhs.uk.
