Band 3 Clinical Support Worker - part time - 22.5 hours per week

The band 3 will cover the Neurology Service at the CDC

The post holder will be flexible across CDC/CIC to cover service need.

You will work with indirect supervision under the Registered Nurse; assisting with nursing care and providing information and assistance to the patient, their relatives and carers. You will also utilise acquired skills gained from an extended role as directed by the lead clinical nurse of the department.

Applicants will possess GCSE English & Maths or equivalent; National Care Certificate or commitment to complete as part of induction process, and an NVQ 3 in care (willingness to complete within one year of start date) or equivalent experience. You will also have experience of working in a customer focused / caring environment.

Main duties of the job
The CSW will be expected to assist the Specialist Practitioners in the Neurology clinic's.

The successful candidate will be expected to travel to Carlisle to assist the service provided there when required.

The successful individual needs to be approachable, flexible & keen to learn. Have an understanding of the Trust's values & expectations & present themselves in a professional manner at all times.

Qualifications
Essential

• Level 3 vocational qualification OR Short courses and completion of competency workbook equivalent to Level 3 in a range of patient and clinical care duties OR Equivalent knowledge and experience in a range of clinical care duties equivalent to Level 3;
• Theoretical knowledge
