Job summary
Join NHS Humber Health Partnership, one of the largest and most ambitious NHS Groups in the country. Formed by Hull University Teaching Hospitals (HUTH) and Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLaG), we are the 12th largest acute and community provider in the NHS, serving over 1.5 million people with a combined budget of £1.3 billion.

We are expanding our ultrasound service and are looking for enthusiastic Sonographers to help shape its future.

This is an exciting opportunity for qualified reporting Ultrasonographers to join our friendly team and work across purpose-built units with state-of-the-art ultrasound machines in Obstetrics, General, and Community Diagnostic Centres.

We believe in investing in our people. As part of our team, you'll benefit from:
  • Continuous Professional Development (CPD): Dedicated time and support to keep your skills current.
  • Role expansion opportunities: We actively encourage Sonographers to broaden their practice into new specialties such as musculoskeletal or vascular imaging.
  • Mentorship and peer support: Work alongside experienced colleagues and Radiologists who provide guidance on complex cases.
  • Access to structured training programmes: Tailored to your career goals, whether you're newly qualified or looking to specialise further.
  • Flexible pathways: Opportunities to combine clinical practice with teaching, research, or leadership roles.

Previous applicants need not apply.

Main duties of the job
You'll provide scans across a wide range of services including obstetrics, abdominal, gynaecology, small parts, musculoskeletal, and vascular imaging -- making a real difference to patients across our hospital sites and community settings.

Join a supportive team that wants you to achieve your full potential and will encourage you to undertake further trainings for advancement in more specialist areas such as MSK.

What you'll bring:
  • Ultrasound qualification (Diploma in Medical Ultrasound).
  • State registration and at least 1 year of practical NHS ultrasound experience.
  • Ability to scan abdominal, gynaecology, obstetrics, small parts, and DVTs.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Additional musculoskeletal or vascular qualifications would be an advantage.

About us
The Humber Health Partnership is one of the largest acute and community Partnership arrangements in the NHS, seeing well over one million patients every year and managing a budget of over £1.3 billion.
