Job SummaryOptimised Care is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Bank Orthopaedic Physiotherapist to join our growing multidisciplinary team based at The Bromsgrove Hospital.
The successful candidate will provide high-quality physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for patients undergoing orthopaedic procedures and those presenting with musculoskeletal conditions. Working across both inpatient and outpatient settings, you will play a key role in supporting patients to regain mobility, maximise function, and achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Main Duties and Responsibilities- Deliver specialist physiotherapy assessment and treatment to orthopaedic and musculoskeletal patients.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualised rehabilitation programmes.
- Support patients throughout their recovery journey following orthopaedic surgery.
- Monitor patient progress and adapt treatment plans to optimise outcomes.
- Provide education, advice, and self-management strategies to patients and carers.
- Fit and assess mobility aids and post-operative equipment where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and contemporaneous clinical records.
- Participate in discharge planning and ongoing rehabilitation pathways.
- Work collaboratively with consultants, nursing teams, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure safe and effective clinical practice in accordance with HCPC, CSP, and organisational standards.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives where appropriate.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional standards at all times.
Essential Qualifications- BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Current HCPC Registration.
- Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) Membership.
Essential Experience- Minimum of 3 years' post-registration experience.
- Significant experience in Musculoskeletal and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation.
- Experience working with post-operative orthopaedic patients.
- Experience managing a varied clinical caseload independently.
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary team.
Essential Knowledge and Skills- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent clinical reasoning and decision-making ability.
- Knowledge of evidence-based orthopaedic rehabilitation pathways.
- Competence in fitting and advising on mobility aids.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and support patients through rehabilitation.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and prioritise workload effectively.
Essential Requirements- Full UK Driving Licence.
