Job summary
We are looking for a Clinical Educator to join our Practice Education Team at the John Radcliffe trauma unit part time at 22.5hrs. The successful post holder must have completed or be currently working towards a PG Cert in Education.

You will work with the team to deliver a comprehensive range of teaching to the nursing team at the JR service. This will include 'at the elbow' clinical teaching on the wards, formal teaching sessions on our in-house trauma Development Programme, and module lead for the trauma element of our level 7 Advanced T&O Practice course.

You will also be required to work clinically on the wards at times to maintain clinical skills.

Please note the attached Job description states this role is full time but is only for 22.5hrs.

  • Act as an exemplary role model for best clinical practice and Trust values
  • Work to an agreed job plan to maximise education delivery to support staff and patient safety/experience
  • Use expert knowledge to actively promote and contribute to a positive inter-professional learning environment
  • Deliver education programmes at a divisional level and where required cross divisionally in support of organisational priorities.

Job responsibilities
  • Work as part of the local and corporate practice development teams
  • Manage and lead education teams
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate education programmes
  • Work as part of the local and corporate practice development teams
  • Work with clinical management to anticipate and address the educational needs of the service
  • Work across boundaries to proactively develop and sustain partnerships
  • Identify and support audit, service improvement and research projects

Person Specification
Essential
  • PG Cert in Education - completed or in progress
  • Experience of delivering informal and formal teaching
  • T&O Experience
