Pennine Care is committed to improving services for people with Complex Emotional and Relational Needs (CERN) in line with the GM model for treatment of CERN and the National Community Mental Health Framework.

Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Structured Clinical Management (SCM) Pathway in Heywood Middleton and Rochdale (HMR). You will have access to SCM training, regular group and individual clinical supervision, and the support of a skilled and friendly team. You will work as a member of the team, providing 1-1 and group interventions to service users with complex emotional and relational needs. You will work with a small caseload of people within the SCM programme, with relatively stable but complex presentations, and have the opportunity to offer structured and evidence-based care.

Education/Qualifications
Essential

• Professional qualification in health or social care (Nursing, allied health professional, social work)
• Current registration with professional body
• Evidence of post registration training/ development

Desirable

• Mentorship qualification

Experience
Essential

• Demonstrable experience of working with people with personality disorder
• Significant post registration experience working in a mental health service
• Proven experience of completing mental health assessments, risk assessments and risk management plans without direct supervision
• Experience of MDT and multiagency working
• Experience of case managing service users care
• Experience of working with service users experiencing suicidal ideation and self harm
• Experience of working to multiagency safeguarding processes

Desirable

• Previous experience of working to a model of SCM
• Completing Care Act assessments and commissioning of services

Knowledge
Essential

• NICE Guidelines and current best practice in the management of people with personality disorder
• STORM principles
• Current best practice in approaches to management of self -harm
• Trauma informed approaches to care
