As our newest hospital, it has established a reputation for delivering excellent patient care across a range of surgical specialities. You'll work alongside experienced colleagues in a modern theatre environment where teamwork, respect and continuous learning are valued.

This is an opportunity to develop your skills, contribute to service improvements and work in a setting where patients benefit from planned care pathways, allowing you to focus on delivering outstanding care.

Supported by our Theatre Manager and wider multidisciplinary team, you'll help maintain the high clinical standards our patients expect while continuing to grow your own knowledge and experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Theatre Practitioner, you'll provide safe and effective care throughout the patient's perioperative journey, supporting patients before, during and after surgery.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll be responsible for preparing theatres and equipment, maintaining a safe clinical environment and delivering high standards of scrub practice across a range of procedures. You'll advocate for patients throughout their care, helping to ensure their dignity, privacy and safety are maintained at all times.

You'll contribute to the smooth running of theatre lists, support infection prevention practices and ensure accurate documentation and stock management. You'll also work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and colleagues across the hospital to deliver an efficient and positive patient experience.

As an experienced member of the team, you'll support the development of colleagues, participate in audits and quality improvement activities, and contribute to maintaining high standards of clinical governance and patient care.

You'll have opportunities to broaden your skills, take on additional responsibilities and play an active role in the continued development of our theatre services.

What we'll look for in you
  • Has experience working as a Scrub Practitioner across a range of surgical procedures with appropriate registration
  • Demonstrates excellent clinical skills and a commitment to patient-centred care.
  • Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with colleagues and patients.
  • Is committed to ongoing professional development and learning new skills.
