Job summary
Deben Health Group PCN is looking for a careful, organised and motivated Data Administrator/Clinical Coder to join our award-winning, friendly team. This position is offered on a full or part-time basis so please apply to discuss hours.

Supporting approximately 38,500 patients across Wickham Market Medical Centre, Peninsula Practice, Little St John Street Surgery and Framfield House Surgery, you will help ensure important clinical information is recorded accurately and consistently.

Main duties of the job

• Reviewing and summarising patient records
• Coding clinical correspondence into SystmOne
• Managing documents and electronic tasks
• Supporting data-quality audits, QOF and shared coding workflows.

Training and support will be provided, and unclear or clinically sensitive information will be referred to an appropriate clinician or senior colleague.

Qualifications
Essential

Experience
Essential

• Excellent keyboard, computer and data-processing skills.
• Works accurately and methodically with strong attention to detail.
• Can organise priorities, meet deadlines and work independently and within a team.
• Communicates clearly and understands strict confidentiality.
• Enthusiastic about learning clinical terminology, coding standards and new systems.
• Can travel between our four network practices when required.

Desirable

• Has administration or record processing experience primary care, SystmOne or coding experience is desirable.
