Priory Hospital Arnold has an opportunity for a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join the team. Our acute services offer round-the-clock assistance in times of emergencies. Our specialist inpatient acute teams are committed to providing the highest quality of care, supporting patients with a wide range of mental health conditions in safe and highly therapeutic environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care to patients with complex mental health needs.
• Complete comprehensive assessments, develop and review care plans, and monitor patient progress.
• Administer medication safely and in line with NMC and Medicines Management standards.
• Work collaboratively within the Multi-Disciplinary Team to support positive patient outcomes.
• Manage risk, respond to changes in patients' mental and physical health, and maintain a safe therapeutic environment.

Essential for the role

• Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with active NMC registration.
• Minimum 6 months post-registration experience within a mental health setting.
• Completed preceptorship programme.
• Knowledge of the NMC Code, safeguarding, Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
• Strong communication, assessment and care planning skills.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care and continuous professional development.

The following experience would be beneficial

• Experience working within inpatient mental health services.
• Experience acting as a Named Nurse and coordinating patient care.
• Experience leading shifts or supporting junior staff.
• Confidence working within a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT).
• Experience managing complex mental health presentations and risk.
• Knowledge of Priory systems, policies or specialist mental health services.
