Priory Hospital Bristol has an opportunity for a Physical Health Nurse with active NMC Registration to join our team. Priory Hospital Bristol, Stapleton, Bristol is a specialist mental health and addiction treatment service for individuals, families and couples. It provides fast access to treatment for a range of psychiatric conditions and addictions. It is accessible by public transport, with local bus routes serving Stapleton and Bristol Parkway railway station approximately 2–3 miles from the hospital.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive physical healthcare assessments and ongoing care for patients, ensuring needs are identified, documented and managed appropriately.
• Support and advise nursing and medical staff on physical health, including chronic disease management, diabetes, hypertension, COPD, wound care, screening and physical observations.
• Undertake clinical duties including prescribing, ECGs, phlebotomy and wound care, and oversee physical healthcare care plans and staff training.
• Liaise with primary care services to coordinate health reviews, vaccinations and screening programmes.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and complete required reports and discharge summaries.
• Lead on infection prevention and control audits, medical device safety and outbreak management.
• Promote smoking cessation, health education and public health initiatives while maintaining professional relationships with patients, carers and colleagues.

Essential for the role
Minimum 2 years post registration experience within Physical Health Care Environment, evidence of continued professional development in relevant field.
