Job summaryThe sexual health service in Suffolk is offered across three main clinics at Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds and Lowestoft. The level three service offers prevention, screening and treatment and management of sexually transmitted infections, and the provision of contraception including long acting methods. The post holder will be instrumental in developing and maintaining an agile nursing workforce able to offer the full range of interventions to service users.
The post holder will work flexibly across all three clinical sites and others as required. A base clinic can be agreed with the successful candidate.
Main duties of the job- Co-ordinating and organising dual training programmes for nursing staff.
- Reviewing existing processes developing processes and protocols for the safe delivery of high quality sexual health care.
- Representing the service internally and externally.
- Supporting and developing training for internal and external colleagues.

Job responsibilities- To work as a senior clinical member across the integrated sexual health team and effectively support the clinical development within the specialist area of Integrated Sexual health
- To support the systems of clinical supervision across the service.
- To develop practical training programs using internal and external resources to support the development of integrated practice.
- To clearly articulate the vision and direction of Integrated sexual health services and underpin development of service with ISHS ethos
- Review existing guidance and seek consensus when modifying practice
- Develop clear understanding of national and local guidance and maintain a safe and pragmatic approach to development whilst encouraging innovation
Person SpecificationEssential- Recent work within a sexual health service.
- Current use of contraceptive and sexual health skills
Desirable- Diploma: College of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare
Essential- Male and female clinical examination
