Senior MRI RadiographerOaks Hospital, ColchesterFull-time, 37.5 hoursWe have a new and exciting opportunity for a Senior MRI Radiographer to join the team at Oaks Hospital. The role will include supporting junior staff and contribute to the training of students, as well as resolving day to day issues related to workload management and patient queries.
Main duties and responsibilities:- Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload
- Be highly proficient in the use of all equipment within scope of practice
- Supervise and develop junior colleagues
- Accountable for MRI safety in line with local rules
- To work within IRMER and own scope of practice, in accordance with the code of conduct set out by the HCPC
- Participate in departmental audits and Quality Assurance programme
- Provide support to the Clinical Lead Radiographers, and Imaging Manager
- Ensure equipment is safe and fit for purpose and, can report faults in line with Ramsay Health policy
- Provide input to the review, update and implementation of departmental policy and procedural changes
- Comply with all Ramsay Health policies and procedures
- Ensure all records are maintained in line with statutory and organisational requirements
- Participate in on call rota (must be able to attend site within one hour of call activation)
Where you'll be based:Located conveniently on the outskirts of Colchester, the hospital opened on this site in 1994, with plenty of free parking.
What you'll bring with you:- Have a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent)
- A postgraduate qualification and/or high levels of technical knowledge (desirable)
- Possess a minimum of 2 years’ experience in MRI scans
- Demonstrated Computer Skills and RIS PACs experience
- Have an understanding and empathetic approach to patients and staff alike
- Have a proactive and forward thinking approach to work
- Ensure a service of the highest quality care is delivered with sensitivity and compassion
- Demonstrate excellent communication and team working abilities
