We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Treatment Coordinator / Head Dental Nurse to join our team and play an important role in both the smooth running of our clinical services and the patient journey from consultation through to treatment.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining clinical leadership, patient care, organisation and treatment coordination.

The Role

As our Treatment Coordinator / Head Dental Nurse, you will have a varied and important role within the practice.

You will work closely with our dentists and wider team to ensure patients receive an excellent experience, while also supporting the clinical team and maintaining high standards of dental nursing.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and supporting the dental nursing team.
• Providing chairside dental nursing support as required.
• Coordinating patient treatment journeys from consultation through to completion.
• Meeting with patients to discuss proposed treatment plans and answer questions.
• Helping patients understand their treatment options, timescales and associated costs.
• Supporting clinicians with treatment plan presentations and patient communication.
• Following up treatment plans and enquiries in a professional and patient-centred manner.
• Building strong relationships with patients and helping them feel confident about their treatment.
• Supporting the practice in achieving excellent patient satisfaction and continuity of care.
• Assisting with diary management and effective utilisation of clinical time.
• Maintaining high standards of infection prevention and control, cross-infection and decontamination.
• Ensuring clinical rooms, instruments and equipment are prepared and maintained to a high standard.
• Supporting compliance with practice policies, GDC standards and relevant legislation.
• Helping with the induction, training and development of dental nurses.
• Supporting the Practice Manager and clinicians with the day-to-day running of the practice.
• Maintaining accurate clinical and patient records.
• Contributing to a positive, professional and supportive practice culture.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• A qualified and GDC-registered Dental Nurse.
• Experienced in a dental practice environment.
• Confident working alongside dentists and the wider dental team.
• Experienced in, or keen to develop, a Treatment Coordinator role.
• An excellent communicator who can build rapport with patients.
• Organised, reliable and able to prioritise effectively.
• Professional, approachable and compassionate.
• Confident discussing treatment plans and costs with patients in a clear and appropriate way.
• Comfortable taking responsibility and providing leadership to other dental nurses.
• Passionate about delivering an excellent patient experience.
• Committed to maintaining high clinical and professional standards.
• Implant experience or willing to train towards working with the implantologist

Previous experience as a Senior Dental Nurse, Head Dental Nurse, Treatment Coordinator or similar leadership role would be highly desirable.
