Job SummaryThe Rotherham CAMHS Service have gone through a period of service redesign and therefore have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner to join our Getting Help Pathway Team. The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary team completing assessments and providing evidence based interventions, advice and support to professionals, parents and young people
Main duties of the jobWe are looking for a CAMHS Practitioner who is passionate about delivering high quality and effective services to children, young people and their families. You will be child and young person centered in your approach and have excellent clinical skills, experience of multi-agency working and be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently and autonomously. You will have experience of working within a children and young people safeguarding framework.

Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- Professional qualification in Nursing, Occupational Therapy or Social Work with current professional registration.
Desirable- Degree or equivalent. Specialist qualification in CBT, Family Therapy or other recognised therapeutic modality.
- Qualification or formal training in Clinical Supervision.
ExperienceEssential- Significant post-qualification experience working with children, young people and families with complex mental health difficulties.
- Experience managing complex caseloads
- Experience of multidisciplinary and multi-agency working. Experience of assessment, care planning, intervention and risk management.
Desirable- Experience delivering presentations and training
- Experience delivering family work within child and family services.
KnowledgeEssential- Knowledge of child and adolescent mental health theory and practice.
- Understanding of NICE guidance and evidence-based interventions. Knowledge of safeguarding, confidentiality, governance and risk management.
- Understanding of routine outcome measures and care planning processes.
Desirable- Knowledge of wider NHS and social care policy.
- Understanding of ADHD and ASD assessment pathways
- Knowledge of audit, research and quality improvement methodologies.
SkillsEssential- Excellent assessment, formulation and therapeutic intervention skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritise a complex caseload.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to provide clinical supervision and support others.
- Good IT skills including electronic patient records and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organisational, problem-solving and time management skills
Desirable- Experience of delivering formal presentations and training programmes.
