Main duties of the job
We are offering a 12-month secondment for a Band 6 Deputy Sister/Deputy Charge Nurse & Education Facilitator in Cath Labs and Bronchoscopy. This is a development opportunity for a nurse who wants to help shape how others learn, grow and practise safely in one of the most specialist procedural environments in the NHS.

Cath Lab & Bronchoscopy practice is changing quickly. Minimalist TAVI, advanced electrophysiology, complex device work, conscious sedation, recovery pathways and human factors all require a confident, skilled and adaptable workforce. This role will support that ambition by helping to deliver practical, high-quality education that is clinically relevant and directly connected to patient safety.

Working with the Education Lead, senior nurses and specialist teams, the post holder will support competency development, simulation, study days, clinical skills teaching, learner support, induction, practice supervision and service improvement. The role will also include senior clinical responsibilities within the department, ensuring education remains grounded in real practice.

We are looking for a credible, enthusiastic and reflective nurse with strong communication skills, a commitment to professional development and the ability to inspire confidence in others.
