Job summaryThis is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse to join the team on the Beacon day unit and contribute to the provision of a high standard of evidenced based practice and ensure the safe delivery of Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment (SACT) to our oncology and haematology patients. You will be required to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to develop the practical skills required to work within this speciality whilst reflecting the units philosophy of care.
Starting as a band 5, we'll provide you with training and support to progress to a band 6 role over time. We value our RNs highly. Development and training within this role will be offered and prioritised to ensure you achieve the skills necessary to obtain competency to deliver SACT. There is an expectation that hours are worked flexibly on a rota basis Monday to Friday.
Main duties of the jobAs a SACT Staff Nurse, you'll deliver patient care, using the systems in place in the department for a multi-disciplinary approach to patient-centred care delivery which builds on the philosophy of greater involvement of patients and their relatives/carers by using the Trusts patient and public involvement strategy.
