We're looking for experienced and compassionate Paramedics and Nurses to join our clinical team within the Integrated Contact Centre (ICC) as 999 - Clinical Advisors. This is a unique opportunity to play a vital role at the heart of urgent and emergency care.
As part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, you will:
- Monitor live 999 calls handled by Emergency Call Takers (ECTs)
- Provide clinical oversight to ensure safe and appropriate patient outcomes
- Use your expertise to make real-time, dynamic clinical assessments
- Apply evidence-based decision-making supported by advanced clinical software

Main duties of the job- Work within a team as an autonomous practitioner, providing high-quality clinical telephone triage using decision-support systems
- Assess incoming symptom-based calls and determine urgency and priority.
- Provide evidence-based clinical advice and support onward referral within the NHS.
- Communicate clinical information verbally and via technical links effectively with healthcare partners to ensure seamless care.
- Contribute to achieving national ambulance standards and local performance targets.
- Participate in team meetings and work with managers to maintain strong performance.
- Engage in monthly call audits and ongoing self-reflection.

Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- Recognised Nursing/Emergency Care Practitioner/Paramedic qualification
- Valid registration with NMC or HCPC
Desirable- Recognised mentorship qualification and experience
KnowledgeEssential- Nursing/Emergency Care Practitioner/Paramedic experience in acute or primary care
- Extensive clinical knowledge
- Significant post qualification experience in acute or primary care
- Triaging
Desirable- Telephone triage experience
- Experience of supporting others in clinical practice
