Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and drive team player to join the rapidly growing pharmacy team at the James Cook university Hospital. You will be working within the busy pharmacy dispensary team assisting in the provision of an effective and timely service to the patients and staff of South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust under the leadership of the Senior Pharmacy Technician dispensary manager.

The successful candidate will work full time hours 08.30-17:00 Monday - Friday.

Weekend working once every 5 weeks Saturday or Sunday (9.00-17.00), reimbursed with a full weekday off the following week.

Would be expected to contribute to bank holiday working rota.

Main duties of the job
The role consists of supporting with running of the pharmacy dispensary including covering reception, using the pharmacy tracking system, bagging medication ready for deliveries, putting away stocks into the pharmacy robot and medication shelves, filing prescriptions and paperwork, expiry date checking and other general house keeping duties.

On completion of training, you will be dispensing a wide variety of prescription types including controlled drugs, prescription only medicines and unlicensed drugs for the inpatients of JCUH and the community hospitals.
