Healthcare Assistant | Outpatients | Little Aston | Full time | Permanent | Excellent benefitsSpire Little Aston Hospital is recruiting a Healthcare Assistant to join the Outpatient department on a full time contract. You will join a warm, friendly and supportive team working shifts across Monday-Saturday.
The department is open from 7:30am – 9pm Monday to Friday and 8am – 2pm on a Saturday. You have the option to work long (12hrs) or shorter days (7.5 hrs) but flexibility to be able to cover all days is required.

The hospital has an exceptional reputation within a variety of specialties including Orthopaedics, Sports & Exercise Medicine, Cosmetics, Ophthalmic, Gynaecology, General Surgery & Physiotherapy.
Duties and responsibilities:- Assisting nurses with outpatient clinics.
- As an HCA, duties will include routine tasks related to the delivery of care to ensure our patient’s health and well-being.
- Updating patient records accurately.
- Ensuring medical questionnaires and documentation are completed.
- Booking appointments or coordinating further tests when required.
- Maintaining confidentiality and following data protection procedures.
- Supporting patients who may be anxious about surgery.
Who we're looking for:- Previous experience working within a clinical setting (ideally outpatients/clinics) is essential
- Phlebotomy training and wound care experience is highly desirable for this role
- As an HCA, you will be fundamental in providing Healthcare Support to our Clinical Team to ensure patients receive the best possible personal care.
- System literacy is essential
- Must be accurate and have a strong desire for attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Basic clinical skills and knowledge of patient care.
- Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding.
