We are an independent local charity based in Bosham, Chichester, offering a wide range of services to support our patients, and their loved ones, who are living with a life limiting or terminal illness. The work we do makes a real difference to the lives of local people and we support over 330 patients at any one time between our In Patient Unit and Community teams.

Main duties of the job

This role provides a safe, effective, efficient care environment for patients, relatives and carers. As a registered nurse you will provide pro-active and skilled nursing care to patients in our inpatient Unit in need of specialist palliative end of life care, undertaking nursing duties and holistic assessments, planning and co-ordination of a patients needs with programmes of care that are supportive, compassionate and person-centred.

This is a full time or part-time permanent role, mainly day shifts with some nights.

  • Appropriately registered with the NMC Part 1 Registration

  • Teaching/Assessor qualification or wililngness to gain experience and qualifications

  • This is a community-based role and requires the ability to travel independently across the area. A full UK driving licence and use of a car is essential unless a reasonable adjustment can be made.
