Description

Job Summary
The Lighthouse Group Practice is seeking up to three GPs to join our friendly and supportive team. We welcome applications from both Salaried GPs and experienced GPs interested in Partnership opportunities. We are looking for GPs able to work 6 to 8 sessions per week and would welcome the opportunity to discuss how you could become part of our established and supportive practice team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive practice that is investing in its future, including a new purpose-built medical centre at Bransbury Park, expected to open in 2027. For GPs joining the Partnership, there will be the opportunity to play an active role in the strategic direction and future development of the practice. Supported by an experienced Business Partner and management team, Partners are encouraged to contribute to service innovation, business planning, workforce development, and decision-making, without the requirement for a property buy-in.

Main Duties of the Job
As a GP at our practice, you will become an integral member of our friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to our diverse practice population. Working alongside experienced GPs, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, and the wider primary care team, you will contribute to the continued development of our services and the delivery of excellent clinical care.

About Us
The Lighthouse Group Practice is a friendly, forward-thinking GP training practice providing care to approximately 13,500 patients across two sites: Southsea Medical Centre and Devonshire Avenue Surgery. We have been an established training practice since 2008 and are proud to support the development of the next generation of GPs. As an active member of a progressive Primary Care Network serving around 44,000 patients, and with a well-established Integrated Neighbourhood Team (INT), we work collaboratively to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care. Our future is equally exciting, with a new purpose-built medical centre at Bransbury Park due to open in late 2027, replacing our Devonshire Avenue site and providing modern facilities for patients and staff. Based in the vibrant coastal city of Portsmouth, we offer an excellent work-life balance, with beaches, the South Downs National Park, and direct rail links to London all within easy reach.
