Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Experienced or Newly Registered Nurses to join the Acute Medicine Care Group at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust. Our busy and rewarding medical wards care for patients with a wide range of acute, complex and long-term medical conditions. Opportunities available on Ward A1 Cardiology and Ward A4 Care of the Elderly.

Working in fast-paced environments, you will support patients requiring assessment, stabilisation, ongoing treatment and rehabilitation. These wards offer an excellent opportunity to develop strong clinical expertise in acute care, frailty, rehabilitation, complex case management and discharge planning.

We are seeking compassionate and motivated nurses who are committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. The role requires strong professional values, flexibility and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

This role is suited to nurses who are confident in their practice, demonstrate sound clinical judgement and are keen to develop their skills further within acute medicine.

Main duties of the job

• Deliver consistently high standards of nursing care with kindness, compassion and respect.
• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality, person-centred care.

• Participate in rehabilitation and discharge planning to support safe, timely and coordinated patient journeys.

• Support quality improvement, patient safety initiatives and evidence-based practice.

• Current NMC Adult Registered Nurse
• Working towards completion of Nurse training programme to obtain registration with the NMC.

Desirable

• Provides learning and development to other professionals within own work area and other clinical areas
• Practice Supervisor and/ or Practice Assessor Trained

Experience

• Evidence of inter-professional working
• Experience gained in acute, frailty, or community-based nursing roles where complex patient needs are managed

Knowledge

• Demonstrates knowledge of policies, practices and procedures e.g. NHS national policies, standards, requirements and directions that relate to patient care
