Main duties of the jobThe post holder will provide and maintain a high standard of nursing care across the whole practice population.
Focus will be to deliver GMS Practice Nurse duties to patients, both reactive and preventative, including those with long term conditions. Skills would include Dressings, Compression Bandaging, Suture & Clip Removal, Wound Management, Phlebotomy, ECGs,General Observations, Injections, Child Health & Immunisations, NHS Health Checks,Cervical Cytology, INR Monitoring, Minor Ops, Contraception, Travel and Routine Vaccines.
The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and be responsible for the care delivered, demonstrating critical thinking and skills in clinical decision-making in the management of patients. They will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients and support the delivery of policy and procedures.
