Job summary
University Hospitals Dorset Foundation Trust is currently seeking to appoint three Junior Clinical Fellows, (ST 1-2) to work as part of our orthogeriatric/orthomedical rota. One is full time (40 hours per week) permanent post, the remaining two are full time 40 hours a week on 9 month contracts to cover Maternity Leave.

Applicants are invited to apply for the post of Trust Junior Clinical Fellow which are offered on the above basis. The successful candidates must have GMC recognised Medical degrees, have completed their foundation training (or equivalent) and have at least 4 months experience from general medicine or care of the elderly medicine as well as at least 4 months UK experience.

The applicants should be able to work flexibly and to act on own initiative and be able to support junior staff members.

In order to deliver this level of service applicants should have proven experience of on calls and ward cover.

Person Specification
Experience
Essential

• MBBS or equiv, completed foundation training (or equiv)
• Minimum 4 months experience general medicine or care of the elderly medicine
• 4 Months NHS Experience

Desirable

• Evidence of involvement in audit & research projects

Qualifications and Training
Essential

• Commitment to continuing postgraduate education and training Motivated to work in a team

Desirable

• Current ALS
• MRCS

Skills, Knowledge and Aptitude
Essential

• Basic MB BS or equivalent
• Full GMC Registration

Desirable

• Evidence of career intentions in orthogeriatrics, care of the elderly or general medicine
• Current certification in ALS
