Job summaryThe successful applicant will participate in outpatient activity leading and managing both specialist rhinology ENT and general ENT clinics, be involved in preoperative management prior to surgery, and in all aspects of the operative care of the patients. It is anticipated that the surgeon will spend the equivalent of at two sessions in the operating theatre and three/four sessions a week in outpatient clinic in addition to administrative, management, clinical governance and supporting professional activity duties. S/he will work closely with clinical colleague, nursing and other allied health care staff in order to enhance the level of patient care at the Trust.

Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- Full GMC Registration
- Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry via CCT within 6 months of date of Interview or CESR
Desirable- Other higher degree (PhD, Masters, BSc)
ExperienceEssential- Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining (UK) CCT in ENT Ability to offer expert clinical opinion on range of problems both emergency and elective within specialty Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients

Desirable- Postgraduate qualifications in medical education Experience of undergraduate teaching and supervision Experience of clinical supervision and mentorship
