Job summaryThis post is for a Consultant Clinical Oncologist with an interest in Head, Neck & Skin fixed term for 12 months, based in Brighton, but must be prepared to travel between sites. The workload predominantly relates to outpatient clinical activity, with regular commitments to caring for general oncology inpatients and review of patients in the same day emergency care unit as well as taking part in an out of hours oncology on call rota. In addition the post will require clinical leadership, MDT attendance and active participation, medical student and registrar teaching, there will be clinical leadership and research opportunities.

Salary£113,565 to £150,569 a year, per annum pro-rata. Full-time, fixed term for 12 months.

Person SpecificationExperience/ Qualifications
Essential- Basic medical degree
- MB BS, FRCR or appropriate specialist qualification. or its recognised equivalent.
- Full and specialist registration (with a licence to practise) with the GMC or be eligible for registration within six months of the interview. o If you trained in the UK, you must also have a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Oncology or be within six months of receiving it by the interview date. o If you trained outside the UK, you must provide evidence that your qualifications are equivalent to the UK CCT. (Equivalence must be confirmed by GMC by date of AAC)
DesirableClinical Skills and Experience
