Description

About the department
At Welbeck, we believe exceptional healthcare begins with exceptional people.

We're redefining private day surgery through specialist centres designed around excellence, expertise and patient experience. Our consultant-led model brings together leading clinicians, outstanding facilities and dedicated multidisciplinary teams to deliver world-class care in calm, modern environments.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for talented healthcare professionals who share our commitment to clinical excellence and innovation.

About the role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Services Manager to join our specialist Ears, Nose & Throat (ENT) service in Central London.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key leadership role within a growing and ambitious healthcare organisation while working alongside some of the UK's leading ENT Consultants. You will lead the delivery of outstanding clinical services, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, governance, safety and operational excellence across the centre.

As part of a period of continued growth and development, you will help shape the future of the service, driving quality improvement initiatives, supporting service expansion and fostering a culture of clinical excellence.

This role offers significant opportunities for both personal and professional growth within a forward-thinking organisation committed to delivering exceptional specialist care.

Key Responsibilities
Driving Clinical Excellence
  • Provide leadership for the delivery of safe, effective and patient-centred clinical services across the ENT centre.
  • Ensure the highest standards of clinical quality, governance, patient safety and professional practice.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and evidence-based care.
  • Support and develop clinical teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
  • Ensure workforce planning, skill mix and clinical competencies align with service requirements.
  • Champion a positive, safe and collaborative clinical environment for patients, staff and consultants.
  • Provide professional leadership and support to the Clinic Coordinator and wider clinical team.

Clinical Governance and Quality
  • Lead clinical governance activities and maintain robust systems to monitor quality, safety and effectiveness.
  • Drive quality improvement programmes, audits and service evaluations.
  • Lead the development and review of clinical policies, procedures and standards.
  • Oversee risk management processes, incident investigations and the implementation of learning outcomes.
  • Monitor clinical performance indicators, patient outcomes and quality metrics.
  • Support Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
  • Ensure services remain compliant with regulatory, professional and organisational standards.

Service Development and Leadership
  • Support the delivery of the strategic vision for the ENT service.
  • Build strong relationships with consultants, operational leaders and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance clinical services, patient experience and operational performance.
  • Lead workforce development, succession planning and talent management initiatives.
  • Promote innovation, research-informed practice and the implementation of new clinical pathways and technologies.
  • Foster a culture of learning, mentorship and professional development across the clinical workforce.

About you
You are a passionate and experienced clinical leader who thrives in a specialist healthcare environment and is committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

You'll bring:
  • Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Previous clinical management experience within outpatient, ambulatory or surgical services.
  • Strong clinical governance and quality improvement experience.
  • A proven track record of leading and developing high-performing clinical teams.
  • Experience implementing and evaluating clinical standards and best practice.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively while also operating confidently and autonomously.
  • A commitment to patient-centred care and continuous service improvement.
