Main duties of the jobYou will provide specialist occupational therapy assessment and intervention for older adults with mental health, cognitive and memory needs, supporting them to achieve their goals and maximise independence. Working closely with the multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to assessment, rehabilitation, discharge planning and risk management, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care. You will use evidence-based practice to inform clinical decision-making, support service development and provide supervision and guidance to junior staff and students while promoting continuous learning and professional excellence.

Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- BSc (Hons), PG Dip, MSc or equivalent occupational therapy qualification
- HCPC registration
ExperienceEssential- Application of core OT skills and OT process
- Multidisciplinary team working
Desirable- Work experience in a health or social care or voluntary sector setting.
- Involvement in research and clinical audit
KnowledgeEssential- Mental health/physical diagnoses/presentations
