Job summaryWe are seeking an inspiring and experienced leader to join our Hounslow Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Team as Team Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a well-established, high-performing multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering outstanding care for people experiencing a first episode of psychosis.
The successful candidate will provide operational and clinical leadership, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, recovery-focused services that meet NICE guidance and national Early Intervention in Psychosis standards. Working closely with the Hounslow Senior Management Team and key partners across health, social care and the voluntary sector, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of community mental health services and driving continuous service improvement.
As Team Manager, you will be responsible for workforce development, service performance, quality improvement, governance, financial management and partnership working. Where appropriate, you will also maintain a limited clinical caseload, enabling you to remain connected to frontline practice while supporting the wider team.

Main duties of the job- Work effectively within a multidisciplinary setting, holding self and colleagues to account appropriately and demonstrating personal commitment to integrated (managerial/professional) leadership.
- Achieve an agreed set of health performance targets.
- Provide services within the agreed financial resources and achieve all financial targets, including cost efficiency savings ensuring maximum value in terms of clinical and cost effectiveness.
- Contribute in the planning and delivery of service objectives, managing specific change projects as required, ensuring customer focus, consistency, quality, and cost effectiveness.
- Respond to Serious Untoward Incidents (SUIs), complaints and communications, ensuring timely and thorough investigation, effective communication of recommendations and closely monitoring actions to ensure they are fully implemented
- Identify risk and take corrective action in line with trusts integrated governance framework.
- Promote and display via personal actions support for the Trust's key policies on Equality and Diversity, Exemplar Employer and use of the recovery orientated approach for people with longer term problems
- Deputise for manager and colleagues as required.

Person SpecificationQualifications and TrainingEssential- Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker with a current registration (mental health / LD/ Adult) appropriate to the job role
- Evidence of post registration training in relevant service area
- Completion of Mentorship Course/ENB equivalent/Practice Educators/Practice Placement Educator
Desirable- Degree/diploma level supplemented by specialist qualification, training, experience, courses to masters level equivalent relevant to the care group
ExperienceEssential- Experience of supervising staff and students
- Able to manage a caseload of people with complex mental health needs
- Experience of working in Early Intervention in Psychosis Services
- Experience of managing budgets, incidents/SUIs, and clinical governance processes.
Desirable- Awareness of Trust policies and service specification
- Extensive post qualifying experience in relevant service area
- Leadership or service development experience in EIP or CAMHS settings
- Lived experience of mental health issues
KnowledgeEssential- Comprehensive knowledge of interventions specific to service area
- To understand performance reports and how they relate to team
- Knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., MHA, Safeguarding, Care Act).
- Solid understanding of clinical governance, service delivery standards, performance monitoring, and quality improvement processes
Desirable- To have a good knowledge of service objectives
- Solid understanding of EIP models, KPIs (NCAP, Access & Waiting Times), and CQC.
