Job summary
We are looking for Passionate Band 5 Staff Nurse to join the Emergency Department, to support a wide range of shifts.

WSH Emergency department have recently undertaken a major expansion project and we now have our own Majors Assessment Area. This together with a Rapid Assessment Area means we can ensure we meet all our patients' needs and ensure optimised service delivery. It doesn't stop here! We have a dedicated and passionate ED work force that includes Acute Clinical Practitioners (ACPs) and Emergency Nurse Practitioners (ENPs) who can see, treat and discharge their own patients, assisting the medical ED team in delivering excellent care.

Main duties of the job
Staff Nurses are responsible for the delivery of care and the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of individual programs of care. They are expected to take delegated responsibility in a given shift for a group of patients. With experience, they may be expected to take charge of the department in the absence of the Sister/Charge Nurse or Floor coordinator. Staff Nurses need to be aware of the required Government Targets and their contribution to achieving these.
