This role is ideal for an Audiologist who enjoys working in a varied clinical environment, providing comprehensive adult diagnostic and rehabilitation services while contributing to the ongoing development of the department. Main Duties of the JobYou will independently manage adult audiology clinics, carrying out hearing assessments, hearing aid fittings, rehabilitation and follow-up care to support patients with hearing loss. You will also provide hearing aid servicing, repairs, battery provision, ear mould impressions and associated rehabilitation activities to ensure patients continue to receive the maximum benefit from their hearing devices.
The role includes delivering services across a number of clinic locations, maintaining accurate clinical records, managing hearing aid stock and using departmental IT systems to support efficient patient care. You will provide advice and reassurance to patients and carers, escalating complex cases or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professional where necessary.
Working as part of the wider Audiology and ENT team, you will contribute to service development, clinical governance, audit and quality improvement activities. You will maintain professional standards through ongoing training and CPD, support colleagues when required and ensure compliance with infection prevention, health and safety, information governance and organisational policies to deliver a safe, effective and responsive audiology service.

Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- BSc (Hons) in Audiology (or equivalent)
- AHCS/HCPC registration or equivalent
ExperienceEssential- Experience in adult testing, hearing aid fittings and rehabilitation.
- 2 years post qualification experience.
- Experience of raising issues for Clinical Governance where appropriate.
- Evidence of leading or contributing to service improvement.
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Experience of working with multidisciplinary teams
- Evidence of ongoing CPD relevant to Audiology
Desirable- Experience contributing to research, audit or quality improvement programs.
- Experience of Improving Quality in Physiological Services (IQIPS) accreditation process
