Description

Join Us in Making Every Moment Matter
At our hospice, every role plays a part in providing exceptional care and comfort to patients and their families. If you're caring, compassionate, and committed to making a difference, we'd love to hear from you.

Inpatient Unit Staff Nurse Palliative Care
Are you a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse looking to make a meaningful difference to patients and families receiving specialist palliative and end-of-life care? We are looking for a Staff Nurse to join our Inpatient Unit at Woking & Sam Beare Hospice and Wellbeing Care.

Working as part of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality, individualised care for people with life-limiting illness, while supporting relatives, carers and colleagues in a calm, professional and person-centred environment.

About the role
  • Provide safe, dignified and holistic nursing care from admission through to discharge or end of life.
  • Use your clinical knowledge to support patients with complex palliative care needs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the hospice and external agencies to ensure continuity of care.
  • Support junior staff, Health Care Assistants and new starters through supervision, mentoring and guidance.
  • Contribute to service development, audit activity and continuous improvement.

About you
  • You will be a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
  • You will have relevant clinical experience and a commitment to delivering excellent patient-centred care.
  • You will be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • You will communicate with sensitivity, professionalism and confidence with patients, families and colleagues.
  • Experience or a qualification in palliative care would be desirable, but is not essential.

How to apply
If you are passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality palliative care, we would love to hear from you. We will be interviewing throughout the recruitment process and reserve the right to close this vacancy early if a suitable candidate is appointed, so early applications are encouraged.

Join Our Caring Community
Every role contributes to the support we provide for patients, families, and our wider community. If you're interested in making a difference, we'd love to hear from you. For recruitment enquiries or application support, please email recruitment@wsbh.org.uk or call 01483 742682.

This job ends on 18 September 2026.
